About Us

Floyd's is a cottage bakery offering products to DFW and surrounding communities. Currently, we do not have a brick and mortar location, but offer both pick up and delivery options.

In 2012 founder and pastry chef Kaitlyn White took her first job as a baker and cake decorator at her local grocery store. There, the found her passion for baking and an outlet for her creativity. However, Kaitlyn's interest in baking began long before then. As a child Kaitlyn envied her mother, Michelle, who made her and her sisters birthday cake every year with the most elaborate and beautiful decorations. As Kaitlyn grew up she found that her favorite times of the year were around any holiday where she could watch and join her mom in baking and cooking for the family.

Kaitlyn has spent the last year working in various bakeries, restaurants and catering franchises. From 2017-2019 Kaitlyn attended the art Institute in Dallas and majored in Baking and Pastry, and in 2021 she decided to take her journey to the next level and start her own business in honor of her late father, Floyd. From there, Floyd's Bakeshop was born and continues to grow.

Here at Floyd's, our goal is to create and provide the most delicious desserts and treats for you and your family. Every product is made from scratch and we hope you enjoy our baked goods as much as we love baking them.
